This is an oiler that was probably used to oil small appliances, typewriters, fishing reels and such. It appears to be made of nickel over brass. The round body has horizontal ribs and the top edge looks fluted. There is some embossed information on three of the ribs. There appears to be some patent information and Made in U.S.A. but I can’t make out any other specifics. It has its original lid which has a needle that goes into the spout.
It measures about 3 ¾” tall by ¾” in diameter and it is in fair. The plating is a little worn and there is some discoloration. There are a couple of dents in the lid. The worst part is there is a faint split in the bottom and although it still flexes I think it may go all the way through and therefore leak. It is not being sold as a user. It is being sold as-is.
