This old cook book is a compilation of recipes collected and tested by St. Anne’s Woman’s Club of Barrington, Illinois in 1979. This wasn’t their first book since there is a notation that some of the recipes are reprinted from their previous cookbook. The recipes are simple using pretty basic ingredients reminiscent of the 1970’s. It begins with cold and hot appetizers then moves on to beverages, breads, soups and sauces and salads before going on to main dishes, veggies, a variety of proteins, pasta and rice and desserts of many kinds. It also has a section on microwave recipes. Each recipe includes the name of the submitter. It has 237 pages plus an index in a soft cover with a plastic spiral type spine.
It measures about 6 ½” by 9 1/8” by 1” and is in good condition. The pages are generally clean with minimal edge and corner wear. The cover has minor scratch and edge wear and soiling. There is a little discoloration the to long edge of the pages which doesn’t seem to show on individual pages.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
