This child's old feeding dish features the English nursery rhyme Tom, Tom the Piper’s Son. The decal in the center of the bowl has young children gathering around a boy sitting on a bench playing a flute. It reads; Tom, he was a piper’s son. He learned to play When he was young. This is also an A.B.C. plate with the alphabet in gold around the side of the dish. The back appears to be marked; T.P.C.O. Co. - 5 20 1 - Semi-Vit. I believe this is from the early 1900’s.
It’s a smaller that average bowl measuring about 6 ¼” in diameter at the top flaring out slightly to 6 ¾” in diameter at the bottom. I measures about 1 3/8” high. It is in nice condition with light scuff wear and stains but chips or cracks. The decal is in fairly good condition with light scuff and scratch wear.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
