This little bisque figurine looks like a miniature wood carving with angular characteristics. She looks like a stout German woman of strong character but with a subtle smile of a kind grandmother. On the bottom it is stamped; Made in Occupied Japan. Handwritten on the bottom is; Mom’s.
It measures about 2 5/8” tall and is in nice condition with good color and no damage. It looks like there is calcium reside on the square base like she may have spent some time in something like a flower pot, maybe looking after a miniature garden.
