This old book, The Story of Lucky Strike was written by Roy C. Flannagan to promote the tobacco industry from the agricultural plant to the mechanics of modernism in the production of cigarettes. This was a New York World’s Fair Edition and has the 1939 Trylon and Perisphere embossed on the front cover. This first edition has a 1938 copyright and 94 pages with many sepia tone photographs illustrating various processes of tobacco manufacturing. No dust cover.
It measures about 5 1/8” by 7 ¾” by 7/16” and is in fair condition with light wear. The inside pages are clean with minor edge wear and some light moisture wrinkles. The cover is in fair condition with edge and corner wear, scuffs and a small stain on the front. It is missing the title paper that was originally glued to the front.
