This old pencil holder is advertising the Simpson Milling Company. The bullet pencil appears to be painted metal with a brass end that holds the wood pencil. The pencil read; Simpson Milling Co. - E. Megli, Prop. - Millers of Best Flour - Simpson, Kansas. In very small print it reads; Brown & Bigelow St. Paul Minn.. The cap which contains the pencil pulls off one end, reverses and then slips into the hole it came out of. On the other end is the eraser.
It measures about 3 7/8” long in the “concealed” position and is in very nice condition with minimal wear to the paint and advertising. The original eraser is hard and unusable.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
