This old tin car is a friction powered toy from the 1950s or 1960s. It's an open touring car, painted pale cream with black fenders and red "upholstery". The windshield is hinged to drop down. Behind the rear seat is a fixed piece that emulates the collapsing cloth top that was found on vehicles of the early 1920’s. It has tin spoked wheels with rubber tires including the spare on the rear. The driver’s side has a lever marked Horn and when you press down on the lever it makes a honking sound. The license plate reads; S-1925. It was probably made by made in Japan and sold by Cragston in the Old Timer series of toy cars.
It measures about 4” high to the top of the windshield, about 10” long and 4” wide. The body is in very good condition with good gloss and minimal wear. The rear wheel drive friction motor doesn’t work.
