This old light incandescent bulb is probably from the early 1900’s. It has no maker or other identifying information on the red glass or on the base. The glass appears to be red and not painted. Inside there a glass rod down the center and then a very thin, probably carbon filament that connects at the bottom. There is a glass base inside that appears to have the number 4 over AO. It has a standard brass base. It is in working condition.
The bulb measures about 4 ¾” in total length and about 2 3/8” in diameter at the widest point and it is in good vintage condition. The element is intact and the bulb works as shown in the photos but there is no guarantee to the number of hours that are remaining in its life so it is being sold as-is.
