These old glasses look similar to a parfait but the glass is much thicker and the inside space is much smaller. These were used in old soda fountains to hold an ice cream cone full of ice cream. Some say the soda jerk filled a number of cones with ice cream to serve them all at once on a tray. Others remember that these glasses kept the drips of the ice cream from ruining their clothes. They’re a fun way to turn a simple ice cream cone into a fancy dessert. They use a standard waffle cone, not the large ones.
They stands about 6 1/8” high, about 2 ½” in diameter across the top and 2 ½” in diameter across the bottom. One is in very good condition with minimal wear and no damage. The other one is in the same general condition but there is a small chip on the bottom edge of the base. It feels fairly smooth and may have been polished but it is a chip. I typically sell these for $40.00 a piece in undamaged condition so the price reflects consideration for the damaged one.
Priced and sold as the pair (2).
