These old spectacles are rather funky and are more for show than actual use. They are clip on style sunglasses with green plastic lenses and a gold colored metal frame. The spring metal bridge connecting the lenses allow flexibility in clipping them over another pair of glasses and probably a pair of prescription glasses, these have no correction in the lenses. The frame is marked Polaroid and they come in a little brown, leatherette paper case that is marked Fosta. I don’t know that they originally came together but they are being sold together.
The lenses measure about 1 7/8” wide at the top tapering at the bottom to about 1 ¼” and about 1 5/8” in length. They measure about 4 ¼” across at the top in the relaxed position and extend to about 4 ½”. The slightly curved clips, 2 on each lens look like they would probably fit over a rim ¼”. These appear to be poorly made and the lenses don’t fit snuggly in the frame. One lens has scuff wear and the other looks damaged, possible from someone using a chemical to remove a sticker. As previously mention these might be used as a prop or costume but probably not for actual use more than that.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
