This piece of pottery was made in Mexico, decorated in the fashion of the Tonala area which is around Guadalajara. The little pitcher has a blue bird and flower under the spout and little butterflies on either side. It has a pale grayish blue ground with a brown glaze on the rim and handle. It could be used as a creamer or for syrup or sauces and is marked on the bottom with; NOE SURO MEX A. I believe this is from Ceramica Suro, a studio of Jalisco that opened in the 1950’s.
It measures about 3 1/8” high at the spout and by 5 ¼” from spout to outside edge of the handle. It is in very good condition with minimal wear and no damage.
