Housed in its original green plastic box is this Singer model 160506 Buttonholer. This works well on lock stitch family Singer sewing machines such as the Featherweight. It comes with a total of five cams, the knurled screw for attaching it to the sewing machine the feed cover plate and the instruction booklet. The body is made of a painted metal with a white plastic knob on the top and the cams appear to be a cast white metal sometimes referred to as pot metal. The instruction booklet has a 1948 copyright date and it gives complete directions for making button holes as well as using the attachment for monogramming and embroidery.
The attachment is in very good condition with minimal wear and no damage. The plastic box with the name Singer on the lid is scuffed but is also in nice condition with minimal wear. The booklet is curled from years of being in the box and it has crease, edge and corner wear.
