This is a nice example of the art of needlepoint. This piece was made into a small throw pillow with a patterned fabric back and trimmed with a subtle gold fringe. It has a muted green background with a little girl as the central design. This might be a representation of little Bo Peep since she seems to have one arm raised as though shading her eyes to looks off in the distance and a shepherd’s crook under the other arm. I’m not sure of the yarn content of the needle point but it appears to be a natural fiber. The fabric on the back has a bit of a sheen. The bottom edge of the piece is open to accept a pillow or batting before being finished off.
The needlepoint area measures about 11 ½” by 12” but the overall piece with the fringe measures about 13”. It’s in very nice condition with minimal wear. The is a little mussed. This will shipped rolled.
