Ogee's Antiques
is now SOLDThis is an old kitchen saw from the 1950's when frozen vegetables were a mainstay in so many suburban homes. This saw could saw through frozen packages as well as meat bones. The caramel Catalin or Bakelite handle was probably made to resemble a piece of horn and the metal, including the saw blade appears to be chrome plated steel. It is not marked but it was probably made by the Langner Mfg. Co. of New York.
The blade measures about 7 ½” long the total length is about 9 3/8”. Overall it is in good condition with a little scuff wear on the handle.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
