This small plate, probably a bread and butter plate, has a beautiful red lobster on a platter of greens on the top edge. Below the lobster is a scrolled banner that reads; The Quelle. The porcelain is a white ground and the only other decoration are two fine lines that encircle the rest of the rim. On the bottom it is stamped; Porzellanfabrik Weiden – Gebr.Bauscher – Weiden (Bavaria) Made in Germany, 03. There is also an incised number 18. I believe this is from the early 1900’s.
It measures about 7” in diameter and it sits about 13/16” off the table. It is in good condition with minimal scratch and scuff wear.
