This is an interesting old photograph with young nude woman in a slightly provocative pose. Her body is facing the camera as she rests on her left arm turning her head slightly away from the camera to look into the mirror held in her right hand. Her dark hair is short and a bit shaggy. She has a faint smile with lightly tinted lips and blushed checks. She is reclined on a pink fabric which appears to be laying on a piece of dark green velvet. This is a larger format than an old postcard and fits more closely with the very long cabinet style. I believe this is considered a hand tinted, gelatin silver print. The style and size are similar to photos by the photographer Charles Wesley Gilhousen (1867-1929) but this has no copyright or other identifying information.
It measures about 3 ¾” by 7 5/8” which doesn’t quite fit the Paris panel or promenade card criteria. It is in good condition with minimal edge and corner wear.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
