This vintage photograph of a slightly risqué nude is in a larger format than an old postcard and fits more closely with the very long cabinet style. The model is posed in front of a rich, maroon colored drape. Her auburn hair is short with Marseille style waves. Her cheeks are blushed slightly. She has a string of coral tinted beads around her neck that drape across her neck an can be seen behind her arched back. She wears only a pair of simple pump shoes. I believe this is considered a hand tinted, gelatin silver print. The style and size are similar to photos by the photographer Charles Wesley Gilhousen (1867-1929) but this has no copyright or other identifying information.
It measures about 3 ¾” by 7 ¾” which doesn’t quite fit the Paris panel or promenade card criteria. It is in good condition with minimal edge and corner wear and minor smudges and soiling.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
