Ogee's Antiques
is now SALE PENDINGThis old cardboard box was once filled with 120 Cherry Chewees that sold for 1c each. They were made by the Curtiss Candy Company - A Division of Standard Brands Inc., of Chicago. The lid is dark pink with simple graphic of a smiling boy and girl exchanging a piece of candy. Underneath it reads; m-m-m-good! The sides of the box are printed so they would be right-up when the inside box was placed so the candy could be displayed and sold from the box. The box has a date of 1963.
It measures about 4” by 10 ¼” by 2 ¼” high and is in good condition with minor edge and corner wear. One side corner has some spots where the colored paper is worn off which I have shown in the close-up photo.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
