This is an old trinket box is made of a celluloid that is grained like ivory. The rectangular box has a sculpted lid with rounded corners and hinge at the back. It has no monogram or design on the lid. Inside both the lid and the bottom of the box is a beautiful emerald green, velvet like liner. The bottom of the box is marked French Style Ivory and I believe this is from the early 1900’s. It could be used as a nice little catchall or even a jewelry box on a vanity, dresser or in the bathroom.
The box measures about 3 ¼” by 5” by 1 5/8” high and it is in very nice condition with minimal scuff wear. There are no cracks or splits to the celluloid but the lid has a slight warp so it doesn’t line up perfectly on the front edge or sides.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
