This old can opener is similar to many of the can openers used today. The gear grips the tin and rotates with the turn of the key. One end reads Lid Lifter and is a bottle opener. Along the gripping handle it reads; Vaughan’s Master Opener - 29c. It was made in Chicago and the design patent would date this to the early 1930’s.
It measures about 6 ½” in length and is in good condition with minimal wear and a couple of small spots of rust.
