This old wallet with its matching key case is still packaged neatly in its original Cavalier gift box. It appears to be made of a simulated or imitation leather with a tooled floral design and a laced edge. The trifold billfold has a large compartment for paper bills, a snapped compartment for change on one end, a plastic window place for identification in the middle and an open end compartment for other flat papers or cards on the other end. The matching folding pouch has a snap closure. Inside there are six clips on swivels for keeping track of your various keys. The bar behind the key clips reads; Spring Hooks Pat. Nov-25-24. There is a plastic window compartment for an “Operator License” or identification. The set comes in its original fabric lined cardboard gift box with the Cavalier name and logo on the lid. I believe it is from the 1950’s or 1960’s.
The wallet measures about 4 3/8” by 8” when fully opened or 4 3/8” by 2 ¾” when folded. It is in good, unused condition however there is a crack in the material between the I.D. window and the open compartment next to it due to age brittleness. The key case measures about 3 ¾” by 6 ¼” when fully opened or 3 ¾” by 2 ¼” when folded. It is also in good unused condition but there is a split in the plastic window also due to age brittleness. The box measures about 5 ½” by 7 ¾” by ¾” and is in good condition with minimal wear.
