This old hardboard box once held a product called Nukraft. The spreadable cheese contained milk-sugar and mineral salts and was claimed to be “Especially Good for Children” The cheese was made by Kraft-Phenix Chees Co. the same company that made Velveeta. The cardboard box, similar to ones used today for brie, was patented by the Smith-Lewis Fibre Can Corp, licensee of the National Paper Can Co. I believe this is from the late 1920’s – 1930’s.

It measures about 4 ½” in diameter by 1 ¼” high and it is in good condition with minimal wear and soiling. Some of the inner paper liner of the lid is torn and tattered.

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
