This old porcelain pitcher shows the typical whimsy of the Schafer & Vater Company of Germany from the early 1900's. The blue and white pitcher is of a woman with the characteristics of a black woman in a knelt position with her mouth being the pour spout. It is nicely detailed with flowers across her lap and a collared cape. She's also wearing a coned hat and carries a fan. It has the faint S & V crown mark on the base along with a stamp; Made in Germany.
It is in very good condition showing minimal wear and no damage. It measures about 4 1/4" to the top of her hat.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
