This small piece of celluloid advertises the Warner Auto Meter and it shows the apparatus in nice detail. It claims that “Blue Book Routes are All Measured” by this device. The front of the celluloid is shiny and the back has a dull surface that can be written on with pencil and then erased off. At the top of the back it reads; Memorandum. This small tag has a slot near the top edge so it may have gone on a leather strap and perhaps kept in the car for writing down mileage or other notes. It has a 1905 patent by the Whitehead & Hoag Co. of Newark N.J..
It measures about 1 ¾” wide and 3 11/16” high and is in very nice condition with minimal wear and no damage.
