These three Christmas postcards are from the early 1900’s.
The first postcard features three boys skating on the ice. They look like they could be from a Hans Christian Andersen story or maybe Jo’s Boys. They are framed in holly and berries and a gold edge and at the bottom it reads; Merry Christmas. There is correspondence, a stamp and a 1910 postmark on the back. It measures about 3 3/8” by 5 1/2” and is in fair condition with edge, corner and crease wear, especially the lower right corner. The gold is lightly soiled, dull and blotchy.
The second card has a little girl with mistletoe hanging above her head. It has a lightly embossed Christmas design with a cute poem about a shy miss and a Christmas kiss. Made in U.S.A. It is addressed and has a canceled stamp and a 1915 postmark on the back. It measures almost 3 1/2” by 5 3/8” and is in fair condition with edge, corner and crease wear and light soiling.
The last postcard is wishing the recipient Best Christmas Wished. A star frames a quaint winter scene and a pine tree branch and gold stars accent the background. There is no stamp or postmark and only a name written on the back. It measures about 3 ¼” by 5 3/8” and is in fair condition with some edge and corner wear and soiling.
Priced and sold as the group of three (3).
