This old figurine is the epitome of peace. A content old man sits on a tree stump playing a horn which is shaped like a clarinet. His short pants and shirt are stretched over his round belly. His crumpled hat matches his attire and a green cape covers his shoulders and drapes down his back. The porcelain is unglazed except for one small section of the front where the name Pucci is incised. Pucci was apparently an artist sculptor that worked for the Capodimonti company of Italy. IT is my understanding that this predates 1967. There are no marks on the bottom but according to the previous owner there was felt on the bottom which was torn and soiled and removed by said owner so it probably had a label on the felt originally.
It measures about 6 3/8” tall and the base measures about 3” by 3 1/8”. It is in very good condition with minimal wear and no noted damage, even the delicate fingers of the country musician are intact.
