This little wooden crate contains oranges, well actually eight orange gumballs representing oranges. On the top of the crate is a picture of oranges amongst tree foliage. One side of the crate reads; Antioch, Ca. and stamped lightly on the other side it reads; Here’s a Crate of California Oranges. Stapled to the bottom is an old mailing card. The corner that would take a stamp reads; This novelty can be mailed anywhere in the U.S.A. as it is without wrapping. Along the bottom edge it gives the ingredients in the gum. These were quite popular at tourist locations in the 1960’s and 1970’s.
The crate measures about 3 ½” long by 2 1/8” wide by 1 7/8” high and is in very good condition with minimal wear. There is some edge wear to the photo on the top.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
