This old motto poem is sharp but simple in design with a poem titled “Dad”. There is a silhouette image dad in the center flanked by a woman and a young man, perhaps son and daughter but probably son’s mom since the poem gives brief homage to Mother second to dad. It is very deco in appearance with the black and gold on white. There is no reference to the poet or the publisher but there is a small number stamped on the lower edge of the back; 2201. The original wood frame has a painted textured design with gold trim gold. It has protective glass over the print and it the original paper back with a small hanging device at the top.
It measures about 7 ¾” by 10 ¾” and is in very nice condition with minimal wear. The glass is intact with no damage. There is minor paint, edge and corner wear to the frame and the paper on the back has a few small tears and torn edges.
