This old round cardboard box was a sample product for Clabber Girl Baking Powder. It has nice graphics on a paper label over the cardboard box. The 4 ¾ ounce size has Free Sample printed over the back of the label. This is the type of sample that would have been sent to households in the 1930's and 1940's or even given away at the local grocery store as a promotion. It even has the "Guaranteed by Good Housekeeping" seal. It has its original slip on paper lid. The baking powder was manufactured by Hulman & Co. of Terre Haute, Indiana

The empty box measures about 3 7/8” tall by 2 1/8” diameter and is in very good condition with minimal wear. The top edge of the paper label has some roughness and wrinkling where the cardboard lid slips over it.
