This little jewelry box was probably used to hold and display a piece of fine jewelry but I’m not sure what. The box has a slightly domed hinged lid and is pale green with an embossed swirl design and gold detail around the top edge. Inside there is a removable pad covered in a velveteen material. There are three small slots, one has a stiff tab that would hold something securely and perhaps the other two slots originally had the same type of tab. There is no advertising on the sateen like fabric in the lid.
It measures about 2” by 4” by 1” and is in fair condition. The color was probably more vivid since the bottom is a darker green. There is minimal scuff wear to the outside of the box. The inside pad is discolored and or dirty and as previously mentioned there may have been something in the two little slots.
