This old hardbound book has beautiful and creative illustrations spelling out the alphabet. Ed Emberley’s A-B-C features animals, critters and creatures creating each letter of the alphabet. An old work horse helps a chicken lay out straw to form the letter H for “hen” and a bunch of busy rodents carve the letter M from a slice of cheese – M for Mice. One of the last pages show the proper line strokes for printing upper case letters and one page has a list of objects you can find in the book. Stated as a First Edition it has a 1978 copyright by Edward R. Emberley and it was published by Little, Brown & Company. Hard linen cover.
It measures about 7 ¾” by 10 3/16” and is in very good condition with minimal edge and corner wear to the cover. The inside pages are clean and crisp and the spine is good.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
