This covered pottery trinket box was made in Mexico. It has a pale blue-gray ground and is decorated with foliage and a colorful bluebird on the lid with stylized foliage around the sides of the box. The bottom and the edges of both the box and the lid are unglazed but the inside of both pieces is glazed. Inside the domed lid it reads Mexico along with a snail which I believe is an artist signature. I think it might be the signature of an artist that worked in the Ken Edwards studio and I believe this are from the 1980’s.
The box measures about 4 ½” long by 3 1/8” wide. It measures about 1 ½” high without the lid and about 2 5/8” high with the lid on. It is in very good condition with minimal wear and no damage.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
