This old salt and pepper was probably a souvenir from a trip to Washington D.C. during the 1930's to 1950's. The mottled butterscotch Bakelite is in the form of the iconic Washington Monument. A single hole is on each of the four sides of the tapering obelisk. The bases are octagonal and on the front of each is a gold decal that reads; Washington Monument. There are corks in the bottom of each shaker that appears to be original.

They measure about 4 ¼” all and the bases measure about 1 ½” by 1 5/8”. They are both in good condition with minimal wear no damage. The decal on one is more worn than on the other.

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
