This metal piece is an old Cub Scout neckerchief slide featuring Miss Liberty with her torch held high. It is probably made out of copper or brass with a copper plating and it is embossed with an image of the Statue of Liberty. In the top right corner is the Cub Scouts - BSA logo. Across the bottom is a banner that reads; Strength in the Arm of Liberty. The piece of metal wraps around to the back with no adjustments or securing devices. The neck scarf would be threaded through and then pushed up to snug it into place. This is a very nice piece of scouting piece memorabilia. This was apparently from 1950 and a tribute to 40 years of scouting.
It tapers slightly measuring about 1 3/8” wide at the top, 1 ¼” wide at the bottom and almost 2” in length. It is in very nice condition with minimal wear. It has not been polished so it has a natural patina with light and dark spots.
