This is an attractive old wall sconce with very clean lines and architectural style that would look nice in an art deco setting. It has five, 1 ½” wide, painted metal bands that create a tired semicircle with a 1” wide, plated band at the top…or bottom. The painted bands have a semi-matte finish but the detail band is shiny goldtone. I believe this could be hung either way. It would need to be direct wired to a wall switch as it has no switch of its own. It has a single, standard bulb, porcelain socket and the light would be emitted between the bands. It appears to be all original and was never mounted as I unwrapped it from its original brown paper packaging. The label on the paper reads; Eclipse #3061. There is a Union Made label on the back.
It measures about 9 ¾” wide 6” high and the furthest distance from the wall would be about 5”. It is in good original condition however there is some light rust along the edge of the plated band and a little on the back. It measures about 9 ¾” wide 6” high and the furthest distance from the wall would be about 5”.
