This is a nice old electric lighting fixture with the flare of the deco period. The flush mount brass fixture could be used on the ceiling or on a wall as an attractive sconce. The back portion has a raised accordion fan appearance and the portion behind the two socket bells is a basket weave design. The porcelain sockets are encircled with a stamped ring that resembles a starflower. The fixture is made entirely of stamped brass except for the final which is cast brass. It has a slightly textured finish which has not been highly polished. It has been newly wired for demonstrating that it does work but we recommend that it be inspected before it is installed. It is being shown with standard light bulbs but more decorative bulbs could be used to suit the décor. It has a piece of all thread and a bracket for easy installation. I believe this is from the 1920's or 1930's.
It measures about 11 ¾” long by 6 1/8” wide and about 3 3/8” deep. The back plate is about ½” thick. Overall it is in very good original condition with minimal wear and no damage to the porcelain sockets. This has not been laquered.
Bulbs not included.
