This old hardbound book is part of The How and Why Program published by The L.J. Bullard Co. of Cleveland Ohio and edited by George W. Diemer. This Story Unit is filled with wonderful childhood stories and simple illustrations. It contains many Mother Goose nursey rhymes and health rhymes, poems by authors such as Ralph Waldo Emerson, Robert Louis Stevenson, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and Clement Moore to name a few. There are holiday poems, animal stories, tales and legends, nature stories and so much more…literally hours worth of entertainment. Originally published in 1930 this issue has a 1956 copyright date.
It measures about 7” by 10 1/8” by ½” and is in generally good condition with a few wear issues. Most of the inside pages are generally clean with minor wear and soiling and a few light pencil marks. One page was taped up years ago and the tape is yellow and brittle which you can see in the photo as well as one page that is torn at the top. The linen cover has minor edge and corner wear and the spine is tight.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
