This old sterling spoon has two elements of interest. The top of the handle has the image of a nude woman, arms raised above her head and what appears to be long flowing hair encircling her. There are small stars tucked into the art nouveau detailing around her and at the very top is a shell design. Just below her is a cluster of grapes. The inside of the bowl has an etched scene of the historical LaGrange Dam of California. There is only edge detailing on the back of the handle where it is marked: Sterling along with a trademark that appears to be a flag with perhaps a B or an E but I have been unable to identify the maker. I believe this spoon is from the early 1900’s.
It measures about 5 ¾” long and is in very good condition with minimal wear.
