This hot plate or trivet with the American flag in the center was made by the Frankoma Potteries of Oklahoma. Frankoma made hundreds of trivets and this one was put into production in 1977. Around the outer edge it reads; America’s Stars & Stripes - Flag of Freedom. On the back it reads; The flag of the United States of America waves in the breeze symbolizing the home of the free and the brave. I believe this is their White Sand glaze over the Sapulpa clay. At the bottom of the back it is marked FRANKOMA FLTR.
It measures about 6 3/8” in diameter and sits about 11/16” off the table. It is in very good condition showing almost no wear.
