Remember drinking milk or soda from paper straws? And remember when they had an accordion section to bend to any angle? Well this is a vintage box of those fun Flex-Straws! The front of the red & blue box has its original cellophane window and also shows a couple of the straws that bend to any angle For Drinking Comfort from a glass of milk, sharing a malt of sipping from a soda bottle. On the back a nurse uses the straws and the box lists the benefits of using them in the hospital or sick room. It says it contains 40 straws but it appears there might be a few less than that in the box. These were manufactured by the Flex-Straw Co. of Santa Monica, Calif. in probably the late 1940’s or early 1950’s.
The box measures about 8 ½” by 5” by 5/8” and is in pretty good condition but does show some edge and flap wear and the back is warped. The straws measure about 8” long.
