This packet of old photographs are views of Chicago and it would have been mailed like a postcard only instead of just one view it has twenty scenes. The photos show all of the building of recognition in the Chicago area highlighting the architecture and historical landmarks. Among the sights are The Union Station, the Planetarium, the Merchandise Mart (The World’s Largest Building), Buckingham Fountain and of course several skyline shots. They come in the folded packet that would have been addressed, stamped and mailed, probably in the 1920’s or 1930’s by the looks of the cars. The “Genuine Photographs” were produced by the Grogan Photo Co. of Danville, Illinois.
The mailer measures about 2” by 3” and is in good condition with minor edge wear and creases. The pictures measure almost 1 ¾” by 2 ¾” and are in very good condition with minimal wear.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
