This is an old Cutco Knife Sharpener for conveniently keeping your cutlery sharp with a “professional edge”. The original instruction sheet gives the simple instructions for using the handheld device to sharpen and hone plus it also has the cleaning directions. It states that this is Not Recommended for Double D Grind. The body appears to be made of brown Bakelite with a clear plastic, perhaps Lucite, divider. The patent dates this to 1954. It also comes with the original box that has the Cutco logo and reads; Professional Honing Stone.
The sharpener measures about 7” long by 2 ½” across the front. It appears to be in nice condition with minor wear. It still sharpens well. There are minor scuffs to the top of the plastic housing. The box measures about 7 3/8” by 3 ¾” by 2 9/16” and it is in nice condition with light edge and corner wear. The instruction sheet is lightly soiled and wrinkled.
