This old medal is a Club Member’s Trophy issued by the National Rifle Association. The brass/bronze colored medal is beautifully detailed with a hunter, with his shotgun raised, in front of a bird in flight that appears to be an American Eagle. The medal’s jump ring hangs from a metal ring at the bottom of a red, white and blue ribbon. Half way up the ribbon is a metal bar that has the date of 1965. The top of the ribbon probably had a bar with a pin on the back side but that no longer exists. I find no maker on the back.
The medal itself measures about 1” across by about 1 ½” in length including the loop that has the small jump ring. The overall length with the ribbon is about 3 ½”. It is in nice condition with light scuff and scratch wear to the medal. The ribbon is soiled and as previously mentioned, there is no longer a pin bar on it.
