This old medal is beautifully detailed with what appears to me to be a female speed skater. Across the top it reads; Board of Education and the B of E emblem is in front of the skater. The date 1928 is stamped near the bottom. On the reverse side it is engraved “2nd Intermediate 110 YD.”. Along the bottom edge it is stamped; Wm. Schridde Co. Chicago - Sterling. A jump ring is attached to the top and it hangs from a red grosgrain ribbon that has a bar on the back with a c-closure pin at the top.
The medal measures about 1 5/16” in diameter and the entire piece measures about 3” in overall length with the ribbon. The medal is in very good condition with minimal wear and nice patina. The pin is in working condition and the ribbon is soiled and discolored.
