This large oval picture locket is chased with a design of flowers around a center shield that was probably intended for a monogram. The locket is hinged on the left and the back is plain with no detail. Both sides were intended for photos with thin retaining rings and protective plastic. There are currently pictures in both sides Behind one picture is a hallmark of W.G.C. for the W.G. Clark & Co. of N. Attleboro, Massachusetts. I believe this is from the 1920’s.
It measures about 1 ¼” in length excluding the attached loop at the top by almost 1” wide. It is in very nice condition with minimal wear. The hinge and latch are tight. There is some discoloration on the jump ring and at the catch inside.
