This is an old deodorant tin from the Mary King line that was created exclusively for the J.R. Watkins Company. In the center of the tin is a silhouette image of a young girl with a parasol. The rest of the tin is covered with a deco design done in blue, black and metallic silver and pale gold. The banner across the front has the Mary King name. On the back is a statement noting the many uses of the talc. It has its original metal cap over the shaker top. This was from the Watkins Perfumers of New York. The Mary King line was popular in the 1950’s and 1960’s.
The empty tin measures about 4” tall by 3” wide and is in nice condition with light scuff wear and some discoloration and fading.
The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
