This old oiler was made in England and it is marked “Yost” No. 60. The body is thin with an applied foot so it can stand upright. It is probably made of brass with a heavy plating, probably nickel. There is a raised oval on either side of the body but the markings mentioned above are on one side only. The spout screws into the body and there is a washer that might be made of leather. The tip of the spout is threaded so it originally had a little cap on it.
It measures about 4 3/4” to the top of the spout and the body measures about 1 5/8” wide. It is in good condition with minimal wear but as previously mentioned, the small cap is missing from the end of the spout. There are some small dents on the body and the spout has a few dark spots where the plating is worn off.
