This old salt shaker is a single but it is very interesting and could be used for something creative like cinnamon and sugar like a muffineer. The pressed glass shaker has eight concave panels on the lower third and a starburst bottom. The lid is two pieces, a brass ring and a glass insert. The brass was probably plated originally but it isn’t any longer. The glass is just starting to turn a very pale purple. I find no maker or other identifying marks on either the glass or the metal. I believe this is from the late 1800’s or early 1900’s.
It measures about 3 ¼” tall by just over 1 ½” in diameter. It is in nice condition with some small nicks around the top edge and the brass has some minor discoloration and dents.
