These old Edison records are for use on a cylinder phonograph. These are Edison Amberol Records and they are made of a hard wax material. Each record is marked 4M on the title edge meaning they are 4 minute records and must be played on a phonograph that is geared for four minute records and that has a reproducer with a diamond stylus. These come in their original boxes with titled lids. The three records are titled as follows;

803 - When the Roll is Called Up Yonder (Block) Edison Mixed Quartette 1040 - Fourth of July Patrol (with Chorus) New York Military Band 1028 – Bring Back My Lena to Me – He Came from Milwaukee (Berlin & Snyder) Comic Song – Maurice Burkhart They all come in a cylindrical Edison Amberol box with the image of Thomas Edison on one panel and the National Phonograph Co. patent information on another panel. The boxes all have a soft liner and come with their appropriate lids with the record title information.

Each record is about 41/4” long by 2 1/8” in diameter with a tapered inside diameter to fit snuggly on a standard phonograph mandrel. They are in generally good condition with minor wear. There is some chipped wax on the back ends, not in the grooved area. #1028 has a crack as shown in the photo. IT isn’t into the grooved area but care will have to be taken so as to not crack it further. This has been taken into consideration in the price. Their sound reproduction cannot be guaranteed but from experience, these should play well if used properly and they are being sold as-is. The boxes show age wear and some soiling.

Priced and sold as the group of three (3).
