This fun ring is made of sterling silver and it is set with an oval brown fire agate. It was made using the lost wax method and it has a simple, free form design but it also has an interesting mounting with the stone being set off to the side rather than being centered over the middle of the finger. It can be worn on any finger it fits so that the stone looks nestled between two fingers or it can be worn on a pinky so the stone actually sits toward the outside of the hand. The dark brown agate has fire of orange, green and red. It is made of sterling silver but is not marked. This piece of estate jewelry was made by an Idaho artist in the 1970's.
The prong set opal measures about 7/16” by 3/8” and is in very good undamaged condition. The ring size is very small measuring between a 3 and a 3 ½ on my ring mandrel. Overall it is in very good condition with minimal wear.
